I very much hope you will be able to join me at this year’s Jennings meeting, which I know, for many, is a highlight of the year: an opportunity to celebrate Anthony Buckeridge’s wonderful work and to meet up with like-minded enthusiasts. This year’s meeting is again being held at the Linton Lodge Hotel, which for the past two years has combined a suitable and spacious meeting room with excellent food and service.
The cost of the meeting this year will again be £22. Morning coffee, a buffet lunch and afternoon tea will be served. The hotel has kindly agreed to allow anyone wishing to stay overnight on Friday and/or Saturday to do so at the same rate as last year (£75 per person per night for dinner, bed and breakfast with a £20 supplement for a single room). I hope as many of you as possible will stay. Please contact the hotel directly if you wish to have accommodation. The rooms for the weekend may be reserved under my name, so please do quote me and “Jennings Meeting” when booking to avoid being told that the hotel is full! Do please indicate on the enclosed form whether you intend having dinner on either/both nights so I can arrange a large enough table for us.
The format of the meeting will be the same as last year. As always, I would very much appreciate it if you volunteered to give a presentation of up to fifteen minutes in length. Also please bring your Jennings books and, especially, any interesting ephemera you might have to display or sell.
We hope to be joined at the Meeting once more by Anthony’s widow, Eileen.
